"Arcane" The Perplexing Puzzle
A decorative bag is brought forth and a wooden case is removed. The case is opened and shown to contain a wooden, rectangular puzzle. The puzzle pieces are removed from the case and reassembled onto a flat surface into the same rectangular shape. Showing their hands empty, the performer reaches into their pocket to remove a small bag. From the bag, a small square puzzle piece is removed. The performer asks… “Is it possible to add this piece to the puzzle without changing the size or shape?” The performer then slides several puzzle pieces around and the “extra” piece now fits in. But wait, the puzzle has not changed it’s size or shape! While the audience is wondering how this is possible, the performer removes another “extra” piece from the small bag that is twice the size of the first piece. Again, the performer asks…”Is it possible to add this larger piece without changing the size or shape?” Once again, the performer slides a few pieces of the puzzle around and the “extra” piece fits in. The performer now opens the wooden case and slowly reassembles the puzzle pieces back into the wooden case. The audience is shocked to see that all the pieces fit back into the case perfectly including the two “extra” pieces.
This handcrafted prop is made of Black Walnut, Wild Cherry & Tiger Maple. The “extra” pieces are made of exotic hardwoods. Each Arcane has been numbered for a true collector item.
